Anchor & Roam was conceived by Creator and Business Owner Rickina Velte; when she set out to explore unique destinations and create captivating Airbnb travel videos.
What began as a passion project quickly revealed a frustrating reality: most property hosts and hotels didn’t fully understand the value of partnering with content creators to produce high-quality promotional content in exchange for free or discounted stays.
Faced with roadblock after roadblock, Rickina found herself at a crossroads. Quitting seemed like the easiest option, but instead, she decided to forge ahead. Using her own resources, she funded trips, visited stunning locations, and created impactful content anyway. It wasn’t ideal, but her determination proved that content creators could bridge the gap between beautiful properties and meaningful exposure.
Anchor & Roam was born from these experiences—a direct solution to the challenges creators face in finding breathtaking locations to showcase their work and the struggles property owners face in accessing affordable, professional marketing.
